The highest JUWI wind farm in Germany

High up
The Amtenhauser Berg wind farm on the ridge near Immendingen is the highest JUWI wind farm in Germany, located at an altitude of around 1,000 meters on the edge of the Swabian Alb. Thanks to our extensive planning and implementation experience with sites featuring complex terrain topography, the farm was able to go online as planned at the end of 2017. Since then, the five wind turbines have been generating an annual yield of around 40 million kilowatt hours. This corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of more than 12,800 households. The climate-friendly power generation also avoids the emission of 30,000 tons of the climate-damaging greenhouse gas CO2.

Wind energy at an altitude of almost 1,000 meters
The location is challenging: after all, the heavy plant components had to be transported all the way up to Amtenhauser Berg. And that was no easy task given the steep terrain: steep inclines, rocky ground, and a long period of frost made the construction phase a real challenge. But it was worth it. After all, the district of Tuttlingen, with its highly developed industry, needs a lot of electricity. The wind farm on Amtenhauser Berg now helps to meet this demand in a more climate-friendly way.
