The project

The Mohlis wind farm near the Thuringian town of Schmölln consists of four wind turbines, which together generate around 50 million kilowatt hours of climate-friendly electricity per year. This means they can cover the annual electricity needs of more than 16,000 households. What makes the wind farm so special for us? The one thousandth wind turbine built by us is located here! It went into operation in 2019.

The road to 1000

In 1997, the two JUWI founders Fred Jung (JU) and Matthias Willenbacher (WI) connected the company´s first wind turbine to the grid. Some 20 years later, JUWI is one of the first German project developers to reach another milestone by installing its thousandth wind turbine.
