The first JUWI solar park without subsidies

Without any subsidies
Our second solar park in Metzdorf, Brandenburg, consists of a total of 18,900 modules and went into operation in 2021. It has a total output of 7.8 megawatts and an annual electricity yield of 8.3 million kilowatt hours. It is operated by Stadtwerke Tübingen, a long-standing JUWI cooperation partner. It supplies 2,500 green electricity customers in Tübingen. By 2024, Stadtwerke Tübingen aims to cover 75 percent of Tübingen's total electricity needs with green electricity from its own plants. The JUWI projects are bringing them a good deal closer to this goal.

Photovoltaic expansion outside the EEG
What makes the Metzdorf II solar park special is that it operates entirely without subsidies. JUWI is marketing the project without remuneration under the Renewable Energy Sources Act and without a power purchase agreement (PPA). The buyer of the solar park and PPA provider for the project company is Stadtwerke Tübingen. Planning, construction, and marketing were carried out completely outside the scope of the Renewable Energy Sources Act.
