Power Purchase Agreement – Collaboration with Qcells

The project
The 8.4-megawatt Eisenberg solar park, located around 40 kilometers south of JUWI's headquarters in Wörrstadt in the Donnersberg district, has been connected to the grid since mid-2023. It was planned and built by JUWI and is operated by Hanwha Q CELLS GmbH (Qcells). What makes it special is that the electricity is marketed without subsidies under the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). Qcells will purchase the electricity produced directly via a power purchase agreement, or PPA for short.

First project with Qcells
The approximately 17,000 modules for the solar park come from Qcells' own production. For JUWI, this is the first project with the internationally positioned full-service provider of clean energy solutions, which has been established on the market as a manufacturer of solar products for over 20 years. JUWI is responsible for both the commercial and technical management of the plant.
