For the last 25 years juwi has been developing projects for the operation of renewable energies in Germany. Numerous references for our wind farms and solar plants exist nationwide. In Germany alone, juwi has installed a total capacity of 2.65 gigawatts (wind and solar). The most outstanding projects include solar park Lieberose (Brandenburg) which is built on a former military training area with 72 megawatts as well as the wind farm constructed near Kirchberg in the Hunsrück region (Rhineland-Palatinate). The wind farm with 53 megawatts is one the largest wind energy projects in the southwest of Germany.

The juwi subsidiary in Cape Town has been developing wind and solar projects in the south of the African continent for about 10 years. Eleven greenfield solar plants with a total capacity of approx. 375 megawatts have been realised since the first solar project went online in the year 2013. Our services range from turnkey project development, to EPC services and operations management (O&M) of the plants. Recently a portfolio consisting of three plants with 86 megawatts each, were constructed for the investor “Old Mutual”. Wind projects are also developed from the juwi subsidiary in Cape Town.
