Carsten Bovenschen has been CEO and CFO of juwi AG since November 15, 2021. He has been active in the field of renewable energies and their storage for almost 15 years. Most recently, he was CFO at Akasol AG in Darmstadt, a manufacturer of high-performance battery systems. Prior to that, the 57-year-old business graduate held senior positions at various companies, including CFO at photovoltaic company Solarwatt.
Stephan Hansen has been COO since August 2014. The mechanical engineer was managing director and vice president of business development EMEA at First Solar GmbH from 2004 to 2012. Before coming to juwi, he was executive vice president of NANOSOLAR INC., San Jose, and responsible for sales. Between 1996 and 2004, he took over various executive positions within the Schott Group and was also COO for Schott's solar business in the US.
Christian Arnold assumed responsibility for the operating business in Germany in the juwi AG board of directors on November 15, 2021. 51-year-old Dipl. Ing. (FH) Christian Arnold has been with the juwi Group since 2017, having previously worked as OEM Field Service Leader at Switzerland's General Electric/ALSTOM AG. At juwi, he was most recently Technical Manager of the "Renewable Energies Germany" business division and previously Managing Director of juwi Operations & Maintenance GmbH.
Dr. Stephan Küßner has taken responsibility for the finance division within the management board of the juwi AG with 1st September 2020. He had already worked for the parent company of juwi, the MVV Energie AG in Mannheim, since 2008. At MVV Energie AG he was responsible for “project development of renewable energy” as head of the department since 2015. Having worked in the strategy department and having gained broad expertise in relation to business and energy management, he became responsible for this central strategic component for the whole MVV Group. Dr. Küßner studied economics at the University of Mannheim and Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium, and graduated with a PhD at the German University for Administrative Sciences in Speyer parallel to his work. Following his studies he initially worked for the management consulting company Pricewaterhouse Coopers and later as project manager at a medium-sized consulting company.
Björn Broda is head of the business unit “renewable energies Germany” of the juwi AG since 1st October 2020, alongside Christian Arnold. He is responsible for sales, land securement, project development in the photovoltaics segment, corporate management and corporate development as well as finance and controlling. The Business Administration graduate, originally from Mühlheim a.d. Ruhr, joined the juwi AG in 2016, where he was responsible for corporate strategy, communications and public affairs until 2020. Prior to his transition to juwi, Broda gained extensive leadership and energy market experience as head of corporate strategy, M&A and sustainability at the Frankfurt based Mainova AG from 2012 to 2016. Furthermore, he worked in finance and strategy positions at E.ON AG and E.ON Ruhrgas AG.
Jörg Blumenberg is managing director of juwi Operations & Maintenance GmbH (O&M) since 1st September 2020. Jörg Blumenberg worked in various positions in the renewable energy sector within the Siemens group since 2007. Most recently the graduated industrial engineer worked as director of global construction onshore at Siemens Gamesa in Hamburg. Jörg Blumenberg studied at the University of Flensburg and the University of southern Denmark and has extensive commercial and technical expertise, valuable for his tasks at the operations business of the juwi group.
