Quality Controller - Mechanical (m/f/d)

full time - unlimited

Note: Site-based, advantageous if currently based in one of the following areas Farsala, Domokos, Lamia.

Your Tasks

Objectives
The Quality Controller (Mechanical) will be responsible for onsite quality inspections of Post, Rack/ Mounting structures, module installation on solar PV EPC projects in Greece, including full responsibility for quality compliance in accordance with the design, method statements, quality assurance plan, quality control plans, inspection, and test plans.
 
The Quality Controller will be responsible to witness 100% inspections and tests carried out by the subcontractor in their discipline (Mechanical) to ensure high quality standard are obtained as required by the Approved Quality Assurance Plan.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the Quality Controller will work with the construction team, Suppliers and Subcontractors to ensure compliant project execution
  • Completes construction projects by planning, organizing, and controlling quality inspections and supervising sub-contractors
  • Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, standards, codes and HSE requirements
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • The Quality Inspector will be responsible to ensure that all Mechanical works and associated tests are in accordance with the applicable standards and code of practice
  • Responsible to Report to the Supervisor any unsafe act/conditions
  • Responsible to report to the Supervisor any Quality concerns/defective work
  • Responsible to report to the Supervisor any environmental concerns/contraventions
  • Responsible for inspection and reporting on construction activities in conformance quality requirements and safety standards in accordance with company procedures & processes, legislation, standards, and industry best practice
  • Control and monitor quality performance against baselines, raise NCR’s through the Supervisor and implement corrective action
  • Responsible for ensuring milestones are achieved, including preparation/ compilation of quality data packs
  • Responsible for daily quality reports & records
  • Raise any deviations to the Supervisor regarding procedures, QCP’s and ITP’s
  • Responsible for incoming material inspections as directed by Supervisor as well as assisting the Logistic Coordinator.
  • Responsible for Inspections of: Drilling, hole dimensions; posts placements; structure installation; module installation

Your Profile

Qualifications and Experience
  • Mechanical/ Quality inspection background
  • Minimum of 2 years construction quality inspection experience in the Solar Renewable Energy Sector.
  • Good communication skills, able to work in a team
  • Experience Subcontractor inspections to stringent quality metrics
  • Section Leader or Foreman experience.
  • Experience in concrete sampling and testing standard procedures.
  • Computer literate
  • An understanding of construction, environmental and safety requirements and legislation
  • Fluent in Greek and English
