As the engineering lead you will be responsible for the technical aspects of delivering renewable energy projects. The ability to lead project engineering teams to completion is a strength you have, and your knowledge and understanding of the sales process to construction execution process is sound. Additionally, you should also have critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills and a go getter attitude to understand all aspects technically related to the project and the overall business. The role demands an understanding of the client’s requirements and providing the reliable solutions within project timelines. The role is a mix of coordinate the project’s design team and designing parts of the solar, battery and wind power systems yourself. The project lead engineer also provides technical support during installation through to commissioning.

The key roles for the Lead Engineer will be as follows:
  • Coordination and delegation of work packages and technical project teams during project planning.
  • Coordinate the review of all documentations prepared by Subcontractors / Supplier for Solar and Wind project
  • DC side detailed system design during execution stage
  • Preparation of detailed BOM
  • Cable sizing calculation, equipment sizing as per existing tools
  • PV module, DC cable and Inverter due diligence
  • Preparation of Scope of Works and Specifications for individual components for procurement
  • Verification & approval of drawings
  • Support to Installation, Purchase, Logistic & HSE
  • Preparation of inspection and test procedures for FAT & SAT, conduct associated inspections and witness tests
  • On-site verification of installation & testing in accordance with design, procedures. Regulations, standards and codes
  • Compliance to juwi standards and to regional standards and regulations
  • Ensure seamless technical documentation of PV power plants
  • Host internal and external weekly engineering meetings

Your Profile

  • Five years’ work experience in the solar business
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead a multi-cultured and multicompetences team
  • Energy yield & simulation experience desirable (PVSyst, HOMER etc.)
  • RPEQ Qualified
  • Open-minded and flexible
  • Possess a strong drive and have sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Capable of independent decision-making
  • Result and detailed-orientated approach
  • Strong team spirit
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD desirable
