Head of Operations and Maintenance (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

As the Head of O&M - Greece, you will be responsible and accountable for managing all on-site and remote (back-office) activities in the Greek O&M portfolio, in line with legal framework, contractual requirements, juwi standards and best industry practice. You will report to the HoD O&M - EMEA and the place of work will be juwi office in Athens.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing all contractual requirements (operational, commercial, KPIs related) for the Greek O&M portfolio.
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, organizing, approving and overseeing all preventive and corrective maintenance (incl. vegetation cutting and panel washing works) in all Greek O&M portfolio, within budget and on time.
  • Drafting and / or reviewing & approving maintenance method statements and procedures.
  • Responsible for performance monitoring of all Greek O&M portfolio.
  • Responsible for the setting up, configuration and optimization of the remote monitoring portals / tools, in cooperation with the system providers and the EMEA Control Room.
  • Responsible for all internal and external reporting, regular and ad-hoc.
  • Management and optimization of all O&M software tools (CMMS, database, etc.).
  • Procurement of spare / replacement parts and specialized services.
  • Ensuring compliance of with HSE legal requirement as well as JUWI’s policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with the Grid & Transmission System Operator as well as other authorities, as needed.
  • Evaluation, negotiation, assignment and oversight of O&M subcontractors, in cooperation with the O&M Site Managers.
  • Responsible, in cooperation with the O&M Site Managers, for the procurement of equipment, tools and PPE.
  • Planning and organizing internal and external training for the O&M site personnel.
  • Ensuring compliance of all sites with HSE legal requirement as well as JUWI’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to O&M site personnel and O&M subcontractors.
  • Perform audits on site.
  • Responsible for the renewal of existing O&M contracts as well as attracting, negotiating, and contracting new customers & projects.
  • Line and functional management of O&M personnel (site and office based).

Your Profile

Qualifications and Experience
  • Electrical Engineering degree (AEI)
  • Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE)
  • Holder (or being eligible for immediate issuing) of Certified Installer / Maintainer License for all categories and sizes of electrical installations (published by the Prefecture Office)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the construction and/or maintenance of PV plants or other RE powerplants, of utility scale, as well as MV or HV substations
  • At least 8 years’ experience in electrical engineering, construction, commissioning, or maintenance fields
  • Significant experience in managing teams of engineers or technicians
  • Significant experience in managing customers
  • Very good understanding of EPC and O&M contracts
  • Very good IT skills, emphasizing on MS Excel
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good administrative and reporting skills
  • Ability to coordinate different parties under pressing situations
  • Good knowledge of English language (both spoken and written)
  • Valid driver’s license
