The position of Business Development Administrator assumes responsibility for all the endeavours of the tendering support staff that are directed towards the appropriation of new contracts in both unsolicited and tender processes.  Without limiting the scope of the assignment, the primary function of the position is the overall coordination of the business development team assisting on following guidelines and processes. The position will report to the Head of Business Development.
  • In conjunction with the management team, assist in preparing offers, implement and adhere to document control and process and achieve administration works.
  • Assist with coordinating the outputs required for an offer by supporting key personnel towards achieving tendering timelines and objectives.
  • Working with various JUWI division to gather portions of the scope
  • Gather review from various teams: Project Development, Environmental, HSE, HR, Quality and Finance
  • Assist with relation with Engineering and Project team
  • Manage the BB-BEE responses and strategy in conjunction with the Economic Development Manager
  • Follow up on tender clarification submissions
  • Ensure relevant inputs are received for inclusion in offers
  • Work in accordance with ISO 9001 quality standards including document controlling and quality management
  • Compile and submit monthly reports on tendering feedback
  • Willingness to keep information on market intelligence, gathering information in respect of technical strategy, cost of debt and equity, ED/SED structures, etc.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
  • Review of tender requests, information gathering and monitoring
  • Risk analysis regarding participation in tender
  • Perform any other ancillary and other duties that may be reasonably expected by the company, as and when required
  • Optimization of Business Development processes
  • Various tasks aimed at improving the efficiency of the Business Development process, including the improvement/development of various BD Tools

Your Profile

  • A recognized quality or commercial qualification, advantageous will be an engineering qualification
  • 5 or more years’ experience gained within a similar role
  • Experience gained from within the Renewable energy sector being exposed to REIPPPP, the SPIPPPP or RMIPPPP.  This is ideally as part of the bid team however close involvement in a team from beginning to end will be considered
  • Commercial and financial understanding / experience
  • Strong Computer literacy and competent in using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and Adobe Pro
  • Strong communication skills and assertive business acumen
  • Ability to work under pressures for extended periods
