Objectives

The Software Application Manager Construction will be responsible for the implementation, maintains of project / construction software and hardware systems, as well as market observation and testing of new products, including development of test scenarios.
The Software Application Manager will report to the Head of Construction and will be allocated to various stages of projects as required. As part of the construction team this role will accompany the project / construction process from the early phase to completion/handover and will work with both internal and external stakeholders.

 Primary responsibilities:
  • Translate the internal customer need (e.g., from construction manager) into software requirements and implement it to existing software or search the market for applicable products,
  • Build up an overview of construction relevant soft-and hardware, establish, manage and develop relevant software tests, in accordance with the software stage ang gats process and the JUWI IT requirements,
  • Accountable for new soft and hardware roll out, including timeline, training, CIP (continues improvement process), lesson learned (onsite and online), 
  • Accountable for setting up, issuing, maintain and support for project/construction Hardware and Software e.g., mobile devices, drones, scanners etc. Become main point of contact for project/construction relevant IT topics, 
  • Manage software accounts and licenses, as well as software cost calculations, 
  • Ensure construction and software processes are aligned, identify lacks and suggest improvements as part of the CIP. Responsible/ accountable for the implementation of such improvements, 
  • Develop and/or customize manuals, software work instructions and trainings, serve Team Leader (key users) and ensure their participation while testing of new systems
  • Ensure new starters and/or participating third parties, are up to speed, e.g., implementation of a training plan, 
  • Maintain a close relationship with the IT department and the internal stockholder, define standard software packages and accounts, 
  • Support relevant construction tools in regard to software improvement, e.g., Quality Control Plan, DropBox,
  • Support all drone activities, operate and maintain relevant software and observe the market for new technologies, 
  • Support relevant interfaces between different stack holder (e.g., project management, design, purchase) with tech. tools (software) to improve the information flow.   

Your Profile

  • IT related  Bachelor degree, or relevant.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in software application management or relevant.
  • Construction Project Software experience, e.g., AutoDesc BIM,  Procore.
  • Good communication skills.
  • The candidate should have demonstrated the ability to work in matrix organizations and to operate and navigate within an international company.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English.
