About the role

juwi is looking for an individual experienced in the solar/wind hybrid industry to be responsible for the engineering and development (technical) of our pipeline of large-scale hybrid projects. The primary focus will be on projects in Australia / Asia Pacific for mine sites and other off-grid energy users, with a secondary function being the collaboration and support for international projects with other juwi subsidiaries. The individual will also have the opportunity to obtain knowledge from the DeGrussa project and draw on juwi's extensive international experience in the market. The individual will be based in juwi's Brisbane office with site visits and international travel being required from time to time. All applicants must have the right to work in Australia.

Role description

The key roles for the hybrid engineer will be a mixture of project development / sales, as well as project delivery, as outlined below:

Project Development:

•    Develop and manage the early engineering process for hybrid projects (~1MWp to ~100MWp + Batteries) including hybrid micro-grid integration and hybrid modelling including HOMER Pro;
•    Technical assessment of self-developed or tender project requirements;
•    Assessment and review of RfP/tender documentation;
•    Develop technical offering for bids/proposals;
•    Site technical assessments and feasibility studies;
•    Utilise multiple internal and external resources to achieve the clients development requirements;
•    Support Project Manager with cost calculation and bill of quantity development;

Project Delivery:

•    Develop site specific technical specification for key solar/wind hybrid equipment and systems;
•    Solar/wind hybrid specific project engineering and design;
•    Support international projects remotely with design assessments and recommendations.

General:

•    Market research and product screening;
•    Collaboration with international colleagues on solar/wind hybrid design and market progress;
•    Research and development;
•    Develop engineering reports from available project data;
•    Review and improve juwi hybrid processes and documentation;
•    Maintain understanding of Australian Standards and industry technical requirements/guidelines relating to solar/wind hybrid systems.

Candidate requirements

juwi is looking for the following attributes:
•    Electrical engineering degree (or similar);
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience in solar or wind hybrid engineering design and/or development;
•    Strong understanding of solar or wind hybrid components, capabilities and the market;
•    Ability to work within a local and international design team;
•    Strong understanding and skills of design programs/systems (CAD, Homer, PVSyst, Windpro, Wasp Matlab etc);
•    Strong understanding and skills of company tools (MS Office with advanced excel skills etc.);
•    Understanding of the the relationship between technical and commercial project requirements;
•    Willing to travel as required within Australia, with occasional international travel.

Sales and Project Development Manager

Department: juwi Renewable Energy Pty Ltd - Sales & Project

About the role

This role is critical in establishing juwi business activities in Vietnam by providing management and support in the areas of sales, project development, networking and leads generation.

Role description

  •  Development of effective strategies, procedures, templates and contracts to develop PV projects in Vietnam.
  •  Manage the entire project development process from site selection or co-development to completion of development in reaching financial close for Solar Projects. Support projects until commercial operation date.
  • Profitability analysis and project proposal preparation for PV power leads.
  • Management of external parties, eg. national & international parties, so as to drive projects by developing, adopting and implementing strategic alliances and partnerships successfully.
  • Closure of contracts to meet top-line and bottom-line targets for the subsidiary.
  • Create presentations for senior management and executive team deal review committees seeking approval of significant capital investments.
  • Preparation of decision templates for the Management and Board.
  • Develop and maintain necessary personal networks to stakeholders at different levels that effect the successful development of projects such as public authorities on local, regional and national level as well as environmental groups, industry associations, grid operators or service providers.
  • Tracking of market developments which are relevant for juwi’s medium and long medium term business interest.

Candidate requirements

juwi is looking for the following attributes:

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Vietnamese is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience with Power sector.
  • Strong commercial mindset.
  • Good understanding of the renewable energy business. Experience in solar industry an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal relation with the decision-makers/ influencers in the Renewable Energy market in Vietnam.

This role provides overall support to the business by delivering Finance, Human Resource, Supply Chain, Administrative & other business operative services to juwi Vietnam.

Role description

  • Coordinate with the juwi SEA team to provide administrative support to Regional Director for different tasks e.g. proposal submissions, travel bookings, setting up project organizations, research and compilation of data, organizing internal and external global and local events.

    About the role

    The job holder will implement the juwi Management System based on ISO 9001 in APAC and will document the business processes in close collaboration with process owners.
    The job holder will also be responsible for coordinating and supporting initiatives relative to the evaluation, processing, and handling of incidents and claims during or after implementation of a Project

    Primary Responsibilities of Job Holder

    • The job includes a strong cooperation with the respective Regional Director, the Managers of the company and the company’s teams as well as with juwi Corporate Quality Management (CQM).
    • Implementation and control of the juwi-wide Management System, which is based on ISO 9001: 2015 (Management System processes and other processes valid for the juwi-group).

      Primary Responsibilities of Job Holder

      • Identifying and assessing the competitive capabilities of supplier base.
      • Manage the RfQ/ RfI process for all offshore, construction and service related activities [Civil, mechanical, electrical, Transport etc] within SEA and Australia region.

      About the role

      This position is responsible for managing all phases of solar project development, including the identification, evaluation and realization of projects. The position reports to the Head of Project Development.

      Primary responsibilities:

      • Manage the entire project development process from site selection to completion of development and financial close. Support projects until commercial operation date.
      • Management of project development consultants, project developers partners as well as international and local development stakeholders.
      • Conduct detailed assessments of sites and projects being mindful of economic, administrative, environmental, contractual and technical considerations.
      • Perform due diligence of projects, as appropriate.
      • Work with local authorities to obtain planning permits, licenses and clearances as well as other necessary documentations such as, PPA, planning and construction permission, environmental impact assessments and grid connection studies with internal and external service providers.
