New construction principle for wind energy plants
They are angular, colored and somehow really different: The new turbines near Schornsheim (South-West Germany) do not only present a visual innovation. Learn more about the new construction principle of "Advanced Tower Systems (ATS)" and its advantages here.
The ATS-tower consists of 15 meters long, slender segments and of corner elements. In contrast to tower segments from other manufacturers, they fit perfectly into ordinary trucks and do not have to be transported as wide loads. The segments can thus be transported conventionally, which shortens construction time.
The ATS tower's particular design in Schornsheim is based on the idea that we can adjust the turbines' color to their environment. With these projects, we can offer the local municipality or even the public the option to select the colors they want for the lower third of the towers. They could, for example, choose the colors that represent their community.
