Berlin/Wörrstadt, March 9, 2012. juwi is “great” – this has been approved by the results of the renowned competition of the “Great Place to Work®"-Institute. The  leading project developer for wind, solar and bio energy plants is once again among the Top 20 in the category of companies with 501 to 2,000 employees. Hence, the juwi group from Wörrstadt officially belongs to Germany’s best employers in 2012.

We are incredibly proud of this award,” said juwi-COO Jochen Magerfleisch last Thursday in Berlin. The COO emphasized the importance of juwi’s employees for the success of the company. “A company is just as good as its employees. The fact that we take on a leading part in project development is largely the result of our committed and  highly motivated teams. Therefore, we want to say THANK YOU.”

Prior to the award “Germany’s best employers of 2012”, the juwi-employees were questioned on such essential topics as working atmosphere, acknowledgement and respect, team spirit, development opportunities, salary and workplace health promotion. Moreover, the quality of human resources and the leading management work was evaluated. In this respect, the overwhelming majority of employers certified that juwi is a “great place to work.”

An important aspect certainly is that our employees identify themselves with the company’s goals”, explained Matthias Willenbacher and Fred Jung,  the founders and CEOs of the juwi group. “Together we want to take the energy turnaround to the people, and we want to achieve a 100% energy supply with renewables. That’s our motivation, that’s our drive and that is what makes us good.”

juwi’s quality and attractiveness as an employer can also be seen in the various sports and recreational activities. Apart from the many already existing offers such as an oratory, a football and volleyball field, a gym and the kindergarten “juwelchen”, juwi further invests in Wörrstadt. Currently, a new office building is established which will correspond to the highest demands of a modern work place. A new canteen will be able to cater for up to 2,000 healthy meals per day. juwi will also expand the childcare: A new kindergarten will offer more room to the little ones. This shows that juwi will not rest on its laurels, but that we will further invest in our employees.

Companies of all branches, regions and sizes took part in the “Great Place to Work”-survey. The renowned competition has been carried out since 2003.
